adult content: MASTURBATION!

Delving spontaneously into the salacious, deviant world that is Internet porn; an arena founded for pursuit of singular or mutual gratification garnered by viewing unspeakable acts of debauchery, specifically scripted and performed by nameless people motivated toward personal financial gain with the promise to heighten the pluralistic, wanton sexual desires of a viewing audience seeking to orgasmically extinguish uncontrollable urges derived by expulsion of purposeful bodily fluids by means of self-inflicted punishment imposed upon gender defining organs; a private, personal act craftily, discernibly labelled:

What is: Freedom of Speech in the 21st Century

The events transpiring in France as of late, have prompted examination of the concept of freedom of expression/speech. But, what constitutes or differentiates expression premised on a bias or extreme hatred versus critical expression when based on factual evidence in support of such expression.

For an instance if I were to claim:

 Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, a duplicitous, Fascist, genocidal, racist criminal administering an apartheid state for the occupation and slaughter of innocent Palestinian citizens;

…would this be interpreted as `hate speech’ or my freedom to express my opinion based on interpretation of the factual evidence deemed in support of this claim?

Frankly, I think not. It would likely be labelled as `anti-Semitic’, an accusation directed not at the Politician named but, toward the Peoples of Israel; especially they whom either support or fail to intervene in the criminal actions of their government.

Hypocrisy in the domain of freedom of speech is rampant. Majority of western, so-called democratic countries advocate the right of expression, a pillar among those that define such nations however; anyone with the ability to see, hear and discern what is evident in daily News reporting; knows this is just not true.

The only freedom for assembled citizens to express a viewpoint on topical matters are ONLY those supportive of the current government’s policy. When defiance of it; the militarized, policing authority is there to quash such expression. To cite specific examples of this check the video News archived coverage of any major G-Country meetings; or environmental policy legislation such the X-L Pipeline and climate-change.

The attack on investigative journalistic reporting that runs contrary to a ruling governments’ policies is becoming increasingly substantiated as a matter of national security and potentially harmful to the nation in question. In truth, this means: if the citizens really knew what we [government] were up to there would be a considerable revolt if not outright anarchy!

It is no secret except to those whom chose to bury their heads in the proverbial `sand’; the complicit nature of western societal institutions to present only `their’ perspective to global events. Main-stream media, financial and multi-national corporations being at the top of the list, share equally with respective national governments, to promulgate and support what is increasingly becoming a `conspiracy of dominance’ by national governmental administrations, regardless of political strip. The need to control effective communication of narratives touted as `credible’ information, to a less-than-sublime and gullible general populace.

Any commentary contrary to a nation’s national narrative is quickly labelled a `conspiracy’ of some extremist individual or group, anti-government organization or, manifests as charge(s) of jeopardizing national security and pursuance of reporting journalist(s) by department of justice. Relevant and significant examples of this are Julian Assange of Wiki-Leaks, infamous Edward Snowden both deemed `Wanted-Men’ by the United States Department of Justice and, the recent imprisonment of Chelsea Manning for the better part of his life. The irony in each of these cases: majority of the western populace are in support of the actions taken by such individuals for exposing illegal mass surveillance activity by national security agencies of the United States and their coalition of governmental allies around the world.

Investigative Journalist covering and exposing controversial political matters, intrusive to national security of government administrations around the globe are either: mysteriously killed, imprisoned or, actively pursued by federal prosecutors on national security charges.

Fortunately, with the ubiquitous Internet and predacious nature of freelance journalism, a platform for journalistic activism is flourishing much to the chagrin of nation governments and their respective politicians. Independent, alternative News-media channels are reporting unbiased, factual accounts of many nefarious governmental activities. Exposing the hypocrisy that is rife throughout the spectrum of global governance and socio-economic policy makers.

Unfortunately, recognizing the potential influence such independent news-platforms can impose to counter the national narrative as presented by the main-stream media; strengthened by the increased terrorist-security threat agenda touted as an international concern, a communication policy titled Net-Neutrality is gaining increased support. Basically what this implies is the opportunity for some internet service providers (ISP’s) to fundamentally alter the way the internet works and collect money from companies (like Netflix and Facebook) to guarantee their data can continue to reach users unimpeded. Essentially creating a situation where those who are able to pay will receive preferential, faster service and bandwidth. The unfortunate and possible calculated aspect of this policy is recognition that many of the independent news-media websites are donation supported and, as result, be relegated to poorer and slower service from their ISP if not outright closure. The move could be cynically translated as an arms-length way for governments to further control the information-narrative that flows to its citizenry via the Internet.

The facets that would respond to the original question posed and, the title to this essay:

`What is: Freedom of Speech in the 21st Century’

…in fairness to its critical importance to everyone would, should take several more pages than expressed here. However, advocated by the brief examples cited is the necessity for every individual to become more informed and involved with the circumstances that increasingly shape the world we and our descendants occupy. It is essential to go beyond the sound-bites of information offered by the Main-stream media and equally important, to not accept at face-value all that is presented, to question the validity and veracity of its source(s). This is especially relevant given that a majority of News reported originates from one of only five major news corporations which are more concerned with turning a profit than ensuring you as a voting citizen, know the truth to what is going on beyond your horizon.

In conclusion, the perfunctory or dismissive reaction to this essay-commentary by its potential reader, is not the failing of its communication but, the success of governmental-establishment’s objectives to impede and minimize opportunity for true and honest freedom of speech and for the potential demonization and incarceration of those whom advocate for it!

Memories Pleasure

Michael Illing2

With mixed emotions I view a photo from the past
That tells the story of a love deep, yet did not last;
Only with time passing to weigh the full cost
Does one fully realize, the value lost;
So rare are opportunity to find love true,
With one whom shares equally with you;
Precious are these memories left to treasure
Yet, they garner a mixed sense of pleasure.

Unbridled Permission

Stricken by intrusion of illness’ gain,
Stoic to the suffering, enduring the pain;
Strident by its presence, yet not to complain.

Harsh reality for many forced to endure,
Waiting patiently, for science to find cure;
A time given for emotions to rile pure.

External to this challenged imposition,
Observances at times, want for revision;
To give the afflicted, unbridled permission.

Forever Home

home

The braveness of our naive youth directs
Choice of an alternate path of place to select
To face the challenge for once to be brave
To leave what in memory only is to be saved

Times passage dulls the painful emotion
Letting life speed ahead with locomotion
Striving to conquer our desired ambition goals
Uncertain to what wealth of fulfillment it holds

Decades seamlessly fall by the way
Filled with heart-aches, love and play
Then arrives the call to re-examine purpose
When memories of youthful times resurface

The unwitting sense of return to our youthful home
Takes on a recurring, pronounced mental drone
Not with a beckoning charmed-voice call
But with an allure one cannot fore-stall

Defiant defenses having finally succumb
Forgetting what was lost for what is won
Rejoicing again in all that was once known
To finally return to what forever will be home.

Interviewers’ Query

If you are not familiar; the CBC’s (Canadian Broadcasting Corp)  Jian Ghomeshi hosts an insightful and entertaining radio and television show titled `Q’ wherein he interviews those of the Art’s be it music, film, theater, etc., etc..

Recently he interviewed Robert Downey Jr. and Jian’s style in conducting the interview prompted a thought to question:

                                     What is the Interviewers’ role?

Resulting in the following poem as an idea toward answering the question:

Asking the questions, not to pry,
Looking for answers that avoid a lie;
Peering into eyes that will justify,
Beyond intellect of insight to verify.

No trick of questions’ cross-examination,
Just purpose to discern potential fabrication;
Looking to avoid an inward consternation,
The story unfolding is want of further confirmation.

Neither shrewd nor devious is the intent,
The want is for truthful, insightful content;
Not the distracting illusion of the mind’s invent,
An Interviewers’ query is theirs for reason to prevent.

The Death Of Innocent Civilians

refugee

The deadly game of global chess being played out by the power elites of nations has but one consequence: the death of innocent civilians.

Exploration of the causes/issues that manifest into conflict over the centuries be it regional, national or international; more often than not are the contrivance of pro- or anti– factions to an ideology premised on theocracy, democracy or autocracy and variant machinations thereof.

However, more significant are they whom, above the fray, are the ultimate and true authors, purveyors to these conflicts who recognize and utilize the variants in ideology to their optimum benefit; be the motivation to attain supreme power of control of the mechanistic aspects of global social order or more fundamentally, control of global currency.

Recognizing that every system is inherently defined by a hierarchical structure, often represented as a pyramid; it is inevitable that within the matrix of the grand pyramid structure, comprised of a multitude of sub-system, pyramidal structures, each representing an element of power in its own right becomes source to potential conflict.

Essentially on examination of the quagmire that is the conflict in the Middle East, this is exactly what is transpiring.

Representing the ideology of democracy, grand pyramidal structure in the Middle East conflict is the United States under the auspicious of a Coalition of  Nations (though this grouping can be confidently deemed but a sub-system structure to yet a higher order of power often alluded to as the Power Elite or Ghost Global Governance; reputed authors to the New World Order).

Representing the ideology of theocracy, grand pyramidal structure in the Middle East conflict is presumed to be Islamic Muslims however, in reality, it essentially is non-existent. This conclusion is in recognition of Islam not being a monolithic (religious) organization but rather, is comprised of eight recognized sects within the Middle East, namely: (Source: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/muslims-adhere-to-different-islamic-sects.html)

Sunni Muslims include 84%–90% of all Muslims. Sunni means “tradition,” and Sunnis regard themselves as those who emphasize following the traditions of Muhammad and of the first two generations of the community of Muslims that followed Muhammad.

A number of movements to reform Islam have originated mainly in the 20th century. Some are limited to one country and others have a broader influence. Most are Sunni movements, such as the Wahhabis, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Jama`at-i-Islami.

Shi`ite Muslims comprise 10%–16% of all Muslims. Shi`ites are the “party of `Ali,” who believe that Muhammad’s son-in-law `Ali was his designated successor (imam) and that the Muslim community should be headed by a designated descendent of Muhammad. Three main subgroups of Shi`ites are Twelvers (Ithna-`Asharis), Seveners (Isma`ilis), and Fivers (Zaydis).

Sufis are Islamic mystics. Sufis go beyond external requirements of the religion to seek a personal experience of God through forms of meditation and spiritual growth. A number of Sufi orders, comparable to Christian monastic orders, exist. Most Sufis are also Sunni Muslims, although some are Shi`ite Muslims. Many conservative Sunni Muslims regard Sufism as a corruption of Islam, although most still regard Sufis as Muslims.

Baha’is and Ahmadiyyas are 19th-century offshoots of Shi`ite and Sunni Islam, respectively. Bahai’s consider themselves the newest of the major world’s religions but recognize that historically they originated from Shi`ite Islam in the same way that Christianity originated from Judaism. Ahmadiyyas do regard themselves as Muslims. Most other Muslims, however, deny that either group is a legitimate form of Islam and regard members of both groups as heretics — people who have corrupted and abandoned Islamic belief and practice.

Druze, Alevis, and `Alawis are small, sectarian groups with unorthodox beliefs and practices that split off from Islam. Druze and Alevis do not regard themselves as Muslims and are not considered Muslims by other Muslims. `Alawis have various non-Islamic practices, but debate continues as to whether they should still be considered Muslims.

Then, there is Wahabi & Salafi religions of the Arab States and ultimately, this Sect has four names SALAFI, WAHABI, NAJDI and AHL-HADITH – although today they prefer to call themselves Salafi. (Source: http://www.alahazrat.net/islam/wahabi-salafi.php).

Adding to the fray and confusion are the presence of Israeli Jews, Christians and Muslims and variant fundamentalist orthodoxies within each identifiable sect.

This fragmentation of theological ideology is but one, if not easiest to identify components to the complexity being encountered by the purveyors and pursuers of democratic ideology into the Middle East region.

Historically and currently, human societal order of the Middle East is premised on the concept of Tribalism; each tribe having a designated leader who in-turn, participates in a regional council of tribal leaders. For a fuller explanation of the subject refer to `The Middle East’s Tribal DNA’ (http://www.meforum.org/1813/the-middle-easts-tribal-dna).

Given the nature of societal order within the Middle East being so divergent from that of democratically idealized Western culture nations, renders it an intellectually impossible concept to phantom western-style democracy ever taking root. It is conceivable that a form of parliamentary governance for day-to-day management of such things as public works, tax collection, health-care and other generalized societal organs however, this would likely always be subordinate to the individual Tribal Councils from each province comprising the nation as a whole.

In conclusion; bearing in mind the original, stated premise `every system is inherently defined by a hierarchical structure, often represented as a pyramid; …the grand pyramid structure…’; what is attempted here to clarify; the divergent differences of the two principle facets (factions) to the Middle East conflict, namely; the democratic ideology: an organized grand pyramidal structure versus; theological ideology not nor likely to every be an equivalent structure; the satisfactory outcome will likely be forever indeterminate. And, until this is recognized by those at the top of the grand of grand pyramids pursuing and ensuing these battles, they will conceivably be without end with only one major consequence: the death of innocent civilians.

Immersed in the history treading madness that is this earthly existence, questioning the irrational rationality that yields no qualitative answer evokes emotions beyond description; fomenting a resolve toward disengagement of intellectual processes’ attempt to decipher reason toward objective definition of humanity’s purpose of being within the context of principles of synergistic, symbiotic relevance speculated to be the orchestrated product of a divine, omnipresent  ethereal entity; an arguably acceptable theory that is proving to be failing

Postmortem Truths

Raging hard cock,
Gun in the other hand,
Debating which
Will take a greater stand.

Both promise climax
To a desired end;
Weighing relevant facts,
Without rules to defend.

Postmortem truths
Ultimately tell the tale,
To the outcome of proof;
Who won; which failed.
