Discernment

thought

It is truly a gift given

To render to written word

Thoughts held by the Mind;

For those whom give consideration

And, to their Mind, now to reside.

No favor of truth to wisdom

Is the promise given by these words;

Only that consciousness has been risen

And, choice to their discernment,

By them, others to potentially learn.

Life Remaining

facebw2

Exiting a life-period  humorously referenced a `sobaticle’, to embark the next and definitely, last phase of a life journey; this reflection inspired the following:

Life Remaining

Riding the crest of happiness’ wave

Washed ashore from a sea of self-inflicted turbulence

Rendered to a promise land of bliss and reward

Buttressed by the strength of goodness to achieve.

Reclusive solitude transformed to energy gain

Yielding abundance to new resource expenditure

Toward dreams’ formative realization

Resilient to imposed limitations to confidence.

Surrounded and imbued by echoes to a past

Filtered remnants of experienced passage of time

Reflections of the best of life moments lived

To render reclamation of emotional elation.

What promise this remaining life will favor

Is given only to limitations of the Mind to achieve

For the binds of restriction are forever torn

Anchored in the truth this realization is believed.

Climate Changed?

winds

Watching current, daily News reports on the flooding that has inundated parts of Alberta Canada, parts of Europe inspired the writing of the following poem:

 Climate Changed?

The ferocity of the storm brewed

The sky stirring ever darker, we knew

The deluge of rain and ice pellets to fall

Will leave their mark of hardship for all

The minutes seem to pass like hours

Finally thunderous clouds let loose their showers

Each droplet falling to hit its target with a crushing thud

The ground saturated becoming wet beyond mud

The speeding winds’ howling sounded eerily of train whistles

Branches from fallen trees flying like guided missiles

The horrendous damage this vile weather will ultimately inflict

Once the storm finally over, a ruinous sight left to make one sick

Many voicing the claim severe climate-change is Man-made

Does little to remedy the loss of all that a Life has saved

What this growing global weather phaenomenon does enlist

Is for humanity to rethink its presence if on Earth, it wishes to exist

Turnkey Tyranny’

Upon viewing the linked video detailing the actions of the NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowdon, I was inspired to compose the following poem in response to the interviewee’s closing statment.

`Turnkey Tyranny’

What is the price willingly paid

When freedom and liberty is stolen away?

By forces that impose their sanctioned goals,

Regardless of the broader public price toll.

Incipient, insidious government surveillance policy

Contrived to impede malicious terrorist atrocity

Purchased by acquiescent public consent

Propagandized as injury or loss to life, to prevent

As new generations become calloused to the intrusion

The greater will be `Big Brother’ policy infusion

Global society made impotent through complacency

To potential One World Government’s `turnkey tyranny’.

Unearthly Process’ Reward

unearthly

The start to this new chapter of life,
Fostered through six years of Self-exploration;
Fraught with anguish, anxiety and strife,
Is reaping reward through hope and determination,
To finally see life through a brighter, more fulfilling light.

Birth-passage to this prospective, last phase to this life-journey,
Exerted a toll of deep darkness to be endured,
A conscious test of willingness to be proven worthy,
Of elimination of all burden of hardship; to be finally cured,
By timely power of provenience seemingly unearthly.

What resource of benefit this next era shall yield
Remains unlimited but by self-imposed restriction,
Rending a chance for betterment with vigor and zeal,
To blot-out avenues of negativity and dereliction,
Yielding a positiveness to life, others are able to feel.
