A thunderous boom echoed from a cloudless sky
Summoning the shrill of an unknown baby’s cry
Sending a shiver of fear hard to deny
With wonderment of question: `Why?’
Soon the streets filled with curious minds
Looking upward and outward for telling signs
But none were visible or made blind
Leaving an answer to the question hard to find.
Those of pious belief fell in prayer to their knees,
Atheists and the agnostic took to cowering under trees
Finding no reason to solution, source of fear to relieve;
Taking this sign as an ominous warning, one to be believed.
Next, the sunlight of day became hauntingly dark,
The blackness of night full, consuming, stark;
Artificial light failed to counter its sudden, complete embark,
Confirming to all, this strangeness is not to be deemed a lark.
Ancient prophecy has long spoken of such a coming event
Taken by most to be of an old zealot’s religious invent;
Poised as reason for all sinners toward a godly entity, to repent,
To gain a promise of such calamity, to wishfully prevent.
Intellectual voices of science took strides to explain
The Earth is passing through its Galaxy’s cosmic plane;
A natural, phenomenal cycle that occurs time and again
Ensuring reason toward humanity’s ails is not the source to blame.
Three days, three nights the darkness full did cause
Thousands to wait in fear, confused by whose `laws’
To believe to be this earthly calamity’s true cause
But, what is certain; Humanity is given good reason to pause.
On the fourth day sunlight once again made for a blue sky,
The cry of relief echoing loud, fervently far and wide;
From this, it became evidently clear and impossible to deny,
Earth, a cosmic vessel, is given for all humanity, on which to fly.
No longer encumbered by divisive, omnipresent rules of religious fear,
Humankind realizes they are the true Captains to this earthly ship to steer
Through the voidness of cosmic space knowing the path to be made clear
Is through intellect of mind and, love for each other, to hold most dear.
What unearthly plan gives any woman or man
The right to be untouchable, to have immunity,
To gain the heralded, enviable title of Statesman;
Yet be provocateur to unbridled devastation with impunity?
The ability of such monsters, hands awash in blood,
To gain centre stage in the course of human history;
Emotionally void, eclipsing the constitution of love;
Rivalling the true definition of imposed suffering and misery.
Yet this kind of Being flourishes with unrestrained momentum
As tool to the ambitious powers-that-be to achieve their devious goals;
Only through death will truth held by their inner sanctum
Speak of the brutishness and countless deaths unfold.
Human history is blemished by countless presence of this ilk
Gaining stature of importance and celebrated aggrandizement;
Rewarded for their cunning yet, ignoring the cost of blood spilled;
A testament to the ignorance of humankind and, its willing appeasement.
Reference: Kissinger’s Shadow – the long reach of America’s most controversial Statesman
By Gregg Grandin
Excerpts:
`America’s exceptional sense of itself depends on a similarly ambiguous relationship to the past. History is affirmed, since it is America’s unprecedented historical success that justifies the exceptionalism. Yet history is also denied, or at least what is denied is an understanding of the past as a series of causal relationships. That is, the blowback from any given action—arming anti-Soviet jihadists in Afghanistan, for example, or supplying Saddam Hussein with the sarin gas he used on Iran—is rinsed clean of its source and given a new origin story, blamed on generalized chaos that exists beyond our borders.’
This evasion has been on full display of late, as the politicians who drove us into Iraq in 2003 tell us that decisions made at the time that facilitated the rise of Islamic State militants shouldn’t hinder America from taking bold action in the future to destroy Islamic State militants. “If we spend our time debating what happened eleven or twelve years ago,” former vice president Dick Cheney today says, “we’re going to miss the threat that is growing and that we do face.”18 The United States, Cheney insists, needs to do “what it takes, for as long as it takes.”
Kissinger perfected this type of dodge.[emphasis is mine] He was a master of advancing the proposition that the policies of the United States and the world’s violence and disorder are entirely unrelated, especially when it came to accounting for the consequences of his own actions. Cambodia? “It was Hanoi,” Kissinger writes, pointing to the North Vietnamese to justify his four-year bombing campaign of that neutral nation. Chile? That country, he says in defense of his coup-plotting against Salvador Allende, “was ‘destabilized’ not by our actions but by Chile’s constitutional President.” The Kurds? “A tragedy,” says the man who served them up to Saddam Hussein, hoping to turn Iraq away from the Soviets. East Timor? “I think we’ve heard enough about Timor.”19″
To anyone with a concerted interest in international events that shape our daily lives, the revelations brought to public attention from the likes of Julien Assange, Edward Snowden have served to enlighten global citizens to the level of corruption, graft and incompetence of those whom have been elected to represent our interests. Unfortunately, what has been disclosed most recently by Al Jazeera News only amplifies the seriousness of these revelations.
A journalistic investigation stemming from digital leak of cables originating from the South African intelligence organization gain the world an insight to the political conjuring and coercion of rival leaders within the Middle East and the seemingly purposeful effort by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to thwart the United States – Iran nuclear negotiations with sole effort; to incite an atmosphere of conflict and threat of war.
The Al Jazeera disclosure titled SPY CABLES, clearly shows how Netanyahu in his 2012 address to the United Nations mislead the world on the state of Iran’s nuclear program and stage of uranium enrichment. A position to date, though having been informed otherwise by his own intelligence agency MOSSAD, not to be either accurate nor true, he has not recanted.
What is becoming increasingly evident by the `illegal’ disclosures of all that is hidden by world leaders from `WE THE PEOPLE’ under the umbrella of `national security’ is directly responsible for the death of literally millions of innocent lives, displacement and hardship of countless millions more and, the expenditure of trillions of taxpayer funds. And for what?
These critical, timely exposures communicate leadership of the world in the hands of a few heads-of-state, the United Nations and like bodies, can no longer be taken at their word. The issue of credibility of any statement by ANY government official regardless of nationality, CAN NO LONGER BE TAKEN AS CREDIBLE OR TRUE without due-prudence by an arms-length body. A body presently by default, has fallen to government officials or employees of conscience to leak hidden information i.e., whistleblowers and, by investigative journalist and documentarians. Simply put: those whom nati\oanal political leaders make every effort to find and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. And, stemming from the revelations being brought to light, it is clear why!
The only remaining question: HOW CORRUPT CAN WE LET IT GET, before we find a way to take back our World?
With trenchant words, raising of symbolic clenched fist;
Calling for others of conscience, to readily enlist;
To stir and fight against mounting, shackling flaws;
Of imposed servitude beneath burden of legislated laws.
Laws conspired by those whom have assumed control;
Enacted by electoral minions whose soul they’ve stole;
Their devious, social, global plan long ago contrived;
For dominance of power through wealth, kept, eternally alive.
This fallacy of dominance held, can no longer be sustained;
Increasing numbers of humanity are unwilling to be gamed;
Ancient tools for control employed over centuries past,
Are no longer effective, their time to end has come at last.
Exposure to hidden knowledge has unlocked the shackles;
No longer is humanity willing to be treated as wealth’s chattel;
Society’s undoing will be this 21st century `cause célèbre’;
A period those whom now reign, will come to dread.
As the curtain rises to the second decade of this 21st century play,
Self-appointed actors to an ancient cabal, in want for their position to stay,
Perform scripted roles penned to climax in a whirlwind of chaos’ confusion;
Enthralling humanity, a gullible audience, to applaud infusion of contrived delusion.
Insipid yet insidious are the maneuverings of the elevated few;
Spawned from ancestral prophecy, of ancient hope, to future’s due.
To stir up in the belly of the common man, a militarist fervor;
Sparking a patriotic flame, the call to be the nation’s preserver.
The seeds to disparity were sown in the fertile minds of early men;
Lost to certainty of reason, though desperate for want to defend.
Succumbing to subterfuge of wisdom professed by those of devious goal;
To devalue natural born intuition, relegating it to folly, a fallow field to sow.
As repugnant and cynical this worldview held, may be to others;
This truth herein spoken lies evident, exposed, without faintness of cover.
Though it is to eyes open and, with mind not yet diluted or constrained;
To know the seeds of disparity meant to divide, giving rise to battle, is for powers of the wealthy to be sustained.
Praise of common goodness over evil is demanded for global humanity to survive,
To shed the devious propagandist notion of what it means to be truly alive;
By challenging this unscrupulous cabal, to redeem future generation’s salvation;
Once and forever, delivering the evil-doers to realm of permanent damnation.
Preamble:The following essay is an effort to expunge the frustration that wells-up within as I make an effort to discern with the view to understand, the war-driven evil that is eroding civil and free social-order not only here in Canada but, throughout global civil-society.
Unfortunately, to approach an understanding of the current state of affairs in the context of heightened national security, challenges to freedom of expression and, migration of the so-named `war on terror’ throughout western democratic nations; it is essential to delve into the relative, contemporary roots of these developments. In truth, a comprehensive examination would demand unearthing contributing factors arising well back into modern, human history at least to the beginning of the 20th century.
The complexity of what has materialized to-date is enormous given that many elements contribute to current manifestations of conflict primarily in the Middle East, that now appear to be migrating toward Europe, the United States and Canada. However, ultimately, the genesis to these conflicts rests solely with the collective alliance of these same named national governments. Their principal motivations being expansionism for the security and control of global natural resources namely but, not limited to Oil to ensure their economic and military dominance against their perceived enemies: China, Russia and lesser nations that are equally competing for such power of dominance.
The former Soviet Union’s attempt to secure Afghanistan beginning in 1979 became a threat to western commercial interests in that its success would impede installation of oil and natural gas pipelines from resource-rich, land-locked nations such as Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to flow ultimately through western ally nation Pakistan to coastal ports of the Indian Ocean. The United States with the acquiescence if not participation of its coalition of nation-partners, funded and trained local tribesmen to counter the Soviet insurgence. These fighters, under the leadership of now deceased Osama bin Ladin, known as al-Qaida, after nine-years of conflict ending February, 1989, successfully routed-out the Soviets. This left war-torn Afghanistan essentially, under the influences of western-nations’ political and corporate interests.
Shortly thereafter, in 1990, Saddam Hussein of Iraq attempted to invade Kuwait for the purported purpose of securing its oil reserves. The United States saw this as a direct threat against an ally nation and source of its oil imports, launched a major counter-offensive literally obliterating the Iraqi army and air-force. Though the war lasted only a matter of weeks, rightly or wrongly, President Hubert-Walker Bush decided not to overthrow and/or remove Saddam Hussein from power.
The next major international event to occurred happened September 11, 2001 (9/11) with the downing of the World Trade Centre towers. Blamed for the attack yet never fully investigated were a group of nineteen named terrorists purportedly operating under direction of Osama bin Laden orchestrating the attack from inside Afghanistan.
The 9/11 event spawned a reaction that is felt to this day commencing with the pronouncement by President George W. Bush: a `war-on-terror’ against`axis-of-evil’ countries; countries the United States claim finance and support terrorist groups; a `coalition-of-the-willing’ namely western, democratic States of Britain, majority of European Union countries and Canada. What ensued as result, is the relentless bombing of Afghanistan to rout-out bin Laden and, in March, 2003, outright war against Saddam Hussein based on what will ultimately be found to be false accusations Saddam harbored terrorist groups and attempts to acquire `weapons of mass destruction’ (W.D.M.’s).
In concert with these military initiatives; the early part of the 21st century witnessed the unbridled legalizing of limitations imposed on the freedoms of United States citizens by way of the Patriot Act and creation of the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Agency (T.S.A.) for implementation of a variety of draconian legislation premised on the need to tighten boarder security from outside terrorist threats. The occurrence of three well-known terrorist acts in Detroit, New York and Boston respectively, over a period of several years, has heightened the level of pubic fear infused by government propaganda and escalated, mainstream media coverage, substantiating expenditure of billions of dollars to essentially create a national security state broaching that of a military-state. The same initiatives to varying degrees, continue to be implemented within countries allied with the United States in their combined efforts to rid the world of the perceived and limited terrorist menace.
As to who or what was ultimately responsible for the attack on the WTC towers is yet to be determined. Comprehensive analysis of the events leading up to and post the buildings’ collapse has created more questions then has been answered. And, as with the questions arising from the assassination of John F. Kennedy and subsequently his brother Robert, they are likely never to be fully resolved. However, as to the other part of the Middle East war-equation: it is widely known claims of WDM’s held by Saddam Hussein was false and misleading resulting in an illegal and unnecessary destruction of a nation and killing of millions of innocent Iraqi citizens.
The fourteen, now approaching fifteen, years since the 9/11 event, matters have worsened. The failure of the United States and its allies to successfully democratize either Iraq or Afghanistan has these nations mired in a constant state of civil war between sectarian and religious factions of the Suni, Kurd and Shia dominated regions of Iraq; and, various tribal-families of Afghanistan siding with al Quida and/or various factions fighting under the flag of the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) fundamentalist groups.
Compounding and convoluting the chaos in the region is the western-ally supported rebellion in Libya by `revolutionaries’ resulting in the overthrow and death of its notorious dictator-leader, Muammar Gaddafi in October, 2011 leaving Libya fractured and in a continual state of civil-war between various militant and revolutionary forces vying for control. What is not clear: who the western nations look to be victorious since they seem to be militarizing all parties in the conflict in their attempt to destabilize the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad, deemed by the West a ruling dictator suppressing the democratic and human-rights of Syrian citizens.
Ultimately, the United States and its allies’ intervention in the region of the Middle East commencing with Iraq and Afghanistan, expands southward to include Yemen and eastward to Pakistan (though Pakistan is deemed an ally of the west, it is a known haven and fund various extremist deemed terrorist factions). Beyond these countries and throughout the Middle East including Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and those of the Sinai Peninsula, Emirate States and Saudi Arabia have become increasingly embroiled either directly or at arms-length, in the conflict(s) of present day and, not to the exclusion of Israel’s participation.
As eluded to earlier, the complexity of this important matter is beyond the capacity of this essay to comprehensively encapsulate however, it should be sufficient to emphasize the importance of everyone, of all nations, to make an effort to enquire and question the actions and motivations of its political elite in their pursuance of tighter and more stringent legislative powers to inhibit the freedoms of its citizenry. Periodic manifestation of so-called `terrorist’ acts on `home-soil’ or, domestic-terrorism, should not lead to questions of `what manner of tighter security need be implemented?’ but, more importantly: `why did the terrorist(s) feel it necessary to commit such acts of death and destruction on home-soil?’.
The mainstream-media fail in pursuing this line of questioning of legislators and politicians but rather, fall lock-step in support by emphasizing the fear-element of the controversy and call for tighter legislative powers to secure against the perceived threat at the expense of freedom of expression and movement.
There can be no doubt even with the limited public knowledge of this on-going conflict made available through mainstream-media-channels; the actions of western nations principally those of the United States substantiated by the attack of 9/11 serves only to precipitate and fuel the level of hatred arising from what is deemed strategic and targeted bombing by plane and drones in many of the Islamic countries of the Middle East. These actions seem to only create more terrorist acts of retribution against nations comprising the coalition countries. An unfair condition not only for the Islamic citizens affected but too, those of western nations as it is their treasure and blood being expended in this seemingly endless battle.
In the end, there is no right or wrong to this situation; it is more a matter of a conflict that has become convoluted by ambitions of politics/politicians and the economics of power both domestic and international.
Putting on a pair of rose-colored glasses:
It is time for ALL global-citizens to question WHY? our respective nations are involved in these conflicts and to demand withdraw from any region we have no right to be involved;
Let the citizens of countries in domestic-conflict sort out their own future and neighboring nations left to protect their own sovereign borders from intrusion as may arise from such conflicts;
Treat the natural resources of any nation as the common-wealth of the sovereign-nation for trade/exchange in good faith; and,
Larger, developed nations to better serve as peace-makers/brokers and not interventionist for securing other nations’ natural wealth.
The events transpiring in France as of late, have prompted examination of the concept of freedom of expression/speech. But, what constitutes or differentiates expression premised on a bias or extreme hatred versus critical expression when based on factual evidence in support of such expression.
For an instance if I were to claim:
Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, a duplicitous, Fascist, genocidal, racist criminal administering an apartheid state for the occupation and slaughter of innocent Palestinian citizens;
…would this be interpreted as `hate speech’ or my freedom to express my opinion based on interpretation of the factual evidence deemed in support of this claim?
Frankly, I think not. It would likely be labelled as `anti-Semitic’, an accusation directed not at the Politician named but, toward the Peoples of Israel; especially they whom either support or fail to intervene in the criminal actions of their government.
Hypocrisy in the domain of freedom of speech is rampant. Majority of western, so-called democratic countries advocate the right of expression, a pillar among those that define such nations however; anyone with the ability to see, hear and discern what is evident in daily News reporting; knows this is just not true.
The only freedom for assembled citizens to express a viewpoint on topical matters are ONLY those supportive of the current government’s policy. When defiance of it; the militarized, policing authority is there to quash such expression. To cite specific examples of this check the video News archived coverage of any major G-Country meetings; or environmental policy legislation such the X-L Pipeline and climate-change.
The attack on investigative journalistic reporting that runs contrary to a ruling governments’ policies is becoming increasingly substantiated as a matter of national security and potentially harmful to the nation in question. In truth, this means: if the citizens really knew what we [government] were up to there would be a considerable revolt if not outright anarchy!
It is no secret except to those whom chose to bury their heads in the proverbial `sand’; the complicit nature of western societal institutions to present only `their’ perspective to global events. Main-stream media, financial and multi-national corporations being at the top of the list, share equally with respective national governments, to promulgate and support what is increasingly becoming a `conspiracy of dominance’ by national governmental administrations, regardless of political strip. The need to control effective communication of narratives touted as `credible’ information, to a less-than-sublime and gullible general populace.
Any commentary contrary to a nation’s national narrative is quickly labelled a `conspiracy’ of some extremist individual or group, anti-government organization or, manifests as charge(s) of jeopardizing national security and pursuance of reporting journalist(s) by department of justice. Relevant and significant examples of this are Julian Assange of Wiki-Leaks, infamous Edward Snowden both deemed `Wanted-Men’ by the United States Department of Justice and, the recent imprisonment of Chelsea Manning for the better part of his life. The irony in each of these cases: majority of the western populace are in support of the actions taken by such individuals for exposing illegal mass surveillance activity by national security agencies of the United States and their coalition of governmental allies around the world.
Investigative Journalist covering and exposing controversial political matters, intrusive to national security of government administrations around the globe are either: mysteriously killed, imprisoned or, actively pursued by federal prosecutors on national security charges.
Fortunately, with the ubiquitous Internet and predacious nature of freelance journalism, a platform for journalistic activism is flourishing much to the chagrin of nation governments and their respective politicians. Independent, alternative News-media channels are reporting unbiased, factual accounts of many nefarious governmental activities. Exposing the hypocrisy that is rife throughout the spectrum of global governance and socio-economic policy makers.
Unfortunately, recognizing the potential influence such independent news-platforms can impose to counter the national narrative as presented by the main-stream media; strengthened by the increased terrorist-security threat agenda touted as an international concern, a communication policy titled Net-Neutrality is gaining increased support. Basically what this implies is the opportunity for some internet service providers (ISP’s) to fundamentally alter the way the internet works and collect money from companies (like Netflix and Facebook) to guarantee their data can continue to reach users unimpeded. Essentially creating a situation where those who are able to pay will receive preferential, faster service and bandwidth. The unfortunate and possible calculated aspect of this policy is recognition that many of the independent news-media websites are donation supported and, as result, be relegated to poorer and slower service from their ISP if not outright closure. The move could be cynically translated as an arms-length way for governments to further control the information-narrative that flows to its citizenry via the Internet.
The facets that would respond to the original question posed and, the title to this essay:
`What is: Freedom of Speech in the 21st Century’
…in fairness to its critical importance to everyone would, should take several more pages than expressed here. However, advocated by the brief examples cited is the necessity for every individual to become more informed and involved with the circumstances that increasingly shape the world we and our descendants occupy. It is essential to go beyond the sound-bites of information offered by the Main-stream media and equally important, to not accept at face-value all that is presented, to question the validity and veracity of its source(s). This is especially relevant given that a majority of News reported originates from one of only five major news corporations which are more concerned with turning a profit than ensuring you as a voting citizen, know the truth to what is going on beyond your horizon.
In conclusion, the perfunctory or dismissive reaction to this essay-commentary by its potential reader, is not the failing of its communication but, the success of governmental-establishment’s objectives to impede and minimize opportunity for true and honest freedom of speech and for the potential demonization and incarceration of those whom advocate for it!
Utilizing the various media tools to our disposal, here is a further attempt to get a volume of writing out, exposed to the whims of those whom come upon it; a consolidation of works from the last few months:
The following is in response to the attached video from Acronym independent News channel discussing the coming economic instigated Peoples’ revolution.
Following are writings I produced over the past several years raising the same alarms and thought I would share them to gain YOUR response to what you feel is to be the outcome of growing economic in-equality:
Revolt To The System
Limitless is the breadth and width of the mind
When thought to word one does find
Speaking to injustice and despair be inclined
For others to hear, your words they find
Truth to their meaning, evidence defined
Not messaged to serve up as kind
But brutal at times, if not to remind
That revolt to the system, may have found its time
Human Revolution
Different realities co-exist in the same time and space
Each marked by the goodness of love or pain of suffering, faced
A global view of the world’s condition at any second of the clock
Increasing enlists feelings of great sadness and horrifying shock
Injustices expressed by the few of power on the impoverished many
If not soon curtailed, of life on Earth, there will not be any
Rhetoric espoused by those whom the populace elect
Promise, once in political office, these problems they will correct
Yet decades into centuries continue to unfold
And yet the same original story continues to be told
What will it take to derive these problems final solution?
As things stand in this moment – only an uprising – a Human Revolution
Last Chance Revolution – Lost?
(August,2010)
In the shallow shadow of the conspiracy theorist, I submit to you the following scenario:
Firstly, I think we can all admit and accept the planet no, more accurately, the planet’s tenants are becoming increasingly agitated. It is evident in every sector and system that affects our daily lives: weather, finance, economy, morality, etc, etc.. The debate that has ensued is, `Is this by design or destiny of fate?’.
In an attempt to address this question from the perspective of the present 2010 looking retrospectively forward, one might conclude: by design!
The impetus to all that appears to be occurring is the sublimation to servitude achieved by perpetrated, induced fear of a ghostly threat, only to achieve the ultimate goal of `imperial control’. That gives rise on how best to achieve this end.
The inception of the Internet has to be the grease that turned this massive wheel of deception and tyranny.
Through out history especially modern history, the government intelligence community is easily traced to assassinations, coups, and other mischievous activities to attain the goals of the ruling power (democratic or otherwise). Well it is well known to all how the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have had their hands dirty by the most insidious and corrupt affairs of both domestic and international politics that leads to the focus on domestic political affairs within the realm of the global oligarchy. In effect who is controlling whom?
To make the point clearer I suggest the analogy of the `ponsi-scheme’ that I am sure in light of the current financial system debacle most are familiar with the term; well, that is what the global oligarch from the top-down, represents that is, a myriad of power groups are layered ever upward to yet another, then another to in the end does anyone know who controls whom since the membership amongst the very senior of these strata are all of the same family lineage – an inter-marriage of power through ultimate, yet yielding to when enforced upon, power.
By introduction and retailing of the Internet saw the incredible growth in both the software and hardware industry increasingly geared toward `social networking’ whereby the unbridled, unconscious relinquishing of typically sensitive, private and confidential information on the deception of being close to family and friends. The growth of global tracking or geosynchronous positioning satellite system and technologies or G.P.S., compounded by electronic banking and diminishing of hard currency transactions at the retail, consumer level, all in combination had the general populations masses totally under there control. The next step was the installation of the `fear factor’.
The icon date: September 11, 2001 infamously known as 9/11, was the catalysts to this objective. The destruction of the United States financial icon of global financial superiority rivaling that of Wall Street, along with a reputed three-thousand fatalities, was horrific enough to the then coddled, protected and naive to the horrors of conflict general population, they immediately succumb to the whims and wants of the powers that be, from that date forward. The two major conflicts that followed against Iraq and Afghanistan were precipitous to the financial collapse of the fiat monetary system and the major world banks up to but not including the international, central banks putting the entire global financial, monetary and economic power in the hands of the oligarchy.
The obvious question that comes to mind is where were the people during this time – the activists, the rebelling youth of the time, how did they allow this to flourish? The few youth of the new millennium that saw through the charade were too few in number to stand-up effectively against the increasingly militarized, interwoven departments of police and military security under the central control of the Homeland security establishments. The majority of youth were oblivious to what was happening around them being far too consumed with Internet based networking socializing, video games and other diversionary, established activities. One could say they unwittingly submitted to the slaughter of the civil and human rights coached there by mindless diversions.
Given what has been stated above, the following is my hypothesis of what is yet to come:
The present year is 2010 and the current western demographic has the majority of adult population being those born post WWII. The average age of this group is between their early to mid-sixties. This group is comprised typically of well-educated and financially successful and established individuals of means and those who are most immediately venerable to the uncontrollable effects of down-sizing affected by design, by the oligarchy as per the above outline. It is this group that I believe are the last hope to initiate or motivate a revolt on the increasingly evident plans for dominance by the oligarchy. Yet sadly it is my belief this group, having grown fat, satisfied and mentally lazy are about to too, relinquish any form of resistance to what they consider a power too big to fight.
In summation, the prospects for dark and forlorn days ahead is only in the eyes of those who `see it coming’ yet are to few in number to change this perceived course. All those remaining are oblivious as will be their prodigy, not sensing or aware of the changes that are taking place as they naively consume a contrived, virtual life existence: the fuel energy to power the oligarchy machine (not unlike that depicted in the movie `The Matrix’).
Things To Come
Upon reflection of the words that I have written
I can admit that I have been smitten
By the need to express my view
To communicate a message to all and you
I know they are common words, simple at times
And they annoyingly seem to rhyme
But that should not dismiss the message
The vestige – Of things to come
I hold many secrets within my self
Many that could render extreme wealth
Yet I do not hold to these material things
For it is not joy of life they bring
The Earth revolves with unending vigour
Its meaning in space is for its inhabitants to figure
But not to be dismissed as routine of presence
But to question its perceived infinite significance.
I channel this wisdom from unknown place
Unknown too is why I am graced
I leave the reason for others to contrive
Knowing it will continue as long as I am alive
Others my find my spelling hard to heed
Best they will or assuredly bleed
The blood that fuels mankind
Ground soaked will be left behind
There exists a destiny of less dismay
Will humanity give it chance to play?
Present greed of power, anger and hate
Leaves little to debate
Hindsight is often the test
Differentiating speculation from the rest
My virtue of mind and wrote
Is mine before death to gloat?
