Fact or Fiction – Yours to Choose?

Scott expedition
1912 Robert Scott Antarctica Expedition

In this golden age of high-speed Information communications and retrieval, comes with the burden by the necessity, to parse out fact from fiction, and downright lies.

Ironically, the more access and exposure to information in the end, the more worthless it amounts to be.

Recently, a situation unexpectedly arose providing an opportunity to explore the willingness of readers to question a hypothesis’ credibility as authentic, or manufactured garbage.

What makes this challenge interesting is its potential controversial consequence if accepted as true, or at least plausible.

The reason: if accepted as potentially factual, and not fiction, it has implication to change what we know, or what we been given to believe is human history.

To pursue this matter Chat GPT 3 was employed with interesting, and challenging replies to prompts provided.

HYPOTHESIS: With the recent publishing of sixty-one [61] black & white photographs purportedly taken during the 1912 Antarctica Expedition led by Captain Robert Scott providing visual evidence to the presence of ancient ruins and artifact to support the hypothesis that Antarctica some time in the past decades, or century, to have been human inhabited.

Background Provided by Chat GPT 3:

“ Captain Robert Scott led an expedition to Antarctica in 1910-1913, with the goal of being the first to reach the South Pole. The expedition, which was also known as the Terra Nova Expedition, set out from England in June 1910 aboard the ship Terra Nova. The expedition team consisted of Scott, along with a group of scientists, sailors, and support staff.

The team arrived in Antarctica in January 1911, and established a base camp at Cape Evans. From there, they began a series of expeditions to explore the surrounding area and to lay supply depots for a future push to the South Pole. In November 1911, Scott and a small team set out for the South Pole, but they were ultimately beaten to the pole by Roald Amundsen’s Norwegian team, which reached the pole on December 14, 1911.

Scott and his team reached the pole on January 17, 1912, only to find that they had been beaten. They began their return journey, but the harsh Antarctic conditions, coupled with poor planning and bad luck, took a heavy toll on the team. Scott and four of his companions died on the return journey, and their bodies were found by a search party in November 1912.

The expedition was a tragic failure and it was marked by poor planning and leadership, and a lack of understanding of the harsh Antarctic conditions. Despite this, Scott’s expedition had a significant impact on the field of Antarctic exploration and helped to inspire future explorers.

There is photographic evidence that was recovered from the 1912 Scott Expedition to Antarctica. The expedition photographer Herbert Ponting took many photographs of the expedition, which were used to document the team’s progress, the landscape and wildlife of Antarctica, and the daily life of the expedition members.

Some of these photographs were used in Ponting’s book “The Great White South”, which was published in 1921 and provided a visual record of the expedition. They were also used in a series of lectures that Ponting gave on the expedition, which helped to popularize the story of the expedition and raise awareness of the dangers of Antarctic exploration.

After the expedition, the photographic plates and negatives were stored in the Royal Geographical Society in London and British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge, England. Some of these photographs are still available for viewing today, and they provide a unique and valuable record of the expedition, giving insight into the harsh conditions of Antarctica and the daily lives of the expedition members.

There is no evidence from the photographic records of the 1912 Scott Expedition to Antarctica that suggests the presence of any ancient civilizations on the continent. The expedition’s main goal was to reach the South Pole, and the photographs were primarily used to document the journey and the team’s progress, as well as the landscape and wildlife of Antarctica.

It is also worth noting that Antarctica has been uninhabitable for human civilization

throughout its history, as it has been covered by ice sheets for millions of years and the climate is extremely harsh, making it impossible for human populations to survive. Any ancient civilization in Antarctica would have been impossible, given that the ice cap has been in place for millions of years.

Additionally, the expedition team was not specifically searching for evidence of ancient civilizations and their focus was mainly on scientific research and exploration. So any evidence of ancient civilization would have been a surprise to them.”

The above information provided by Chat GPT 3 can be presumed to represent all available information from its extensive language data set as of December,2021, and to be considered the official scientific, historical archeological record related to the subject of the expedition, its findings, and status of Antarctica continent.

The following is the purported sixty-one photographs associated with expedition that were uploaded to archive.org anonymously on December 1, 2022:

[The central feature for this post unfortunately, all attempts to ideally embed the video to this post have failed for unknown reason; however, here is a link to view, otherwise it makes no sense to go further with it: https://archive.org/details/ancient-antarctica-archaeology-1912-expedition-captain-robert-scott-61-photos ]

Given this questionable evidence, a series of prompt questions posed to GPT to assess the official record:

In all historical archeological, geological or written history record evidence of ancient civilization on the continent of Antarctica?

“ There is currently no evidence of ancient civilization on the continent of Antarctica in historical, archaeological, geological or written records. The continent of Antarctica has been covered by ice for millions of years and has been uninhabitable for humans for most of that time. The harsh, cold, and inhospitable conditions of the continent would have made it difficult for any civilization to survive there.

Some theories have been proposed that Antarctica was once part of a larger supercontinent called Gondwana, which existed around 200 million years ago, and that it might have been inhabited by early forms of life, but there is no solid evidence to support these claims.

Antarctica was first discovered by humans in 1820 and it was not until the late 19th century that humans began to explore the continent in any significant numbers. The first humans to set foot on Antarctica were probably sealers and whalers in the early 1800s, but they did not establish any permanent settlements. The first scientific research station was established on the continent in 1957, and since then, a number of research stations have been set up by various countries. But all of the human activities on the continent have been temporary and focused on scientific research, and no evidence of ancient civilization has been found.

It’s important to note that, the lack of evidence of ancient civilization on Antarctica is not surprising given the harsh conditions of the continent. It is possible that future discoveries or research may uncover evidence of past life or human activity on the continent, but as of now, no such evidence has been found. ”

If the continent was first discovered by human in 1820; why is it clearly depicted on the Piri Reis map is a world map created by Ottoman-Turkish cartographer Ahmed Muhiddin Piri in 1513?

map

Piri Reis Map depicting Antarctica

“ The Piri Reis map is a world map that was created by Ottoman-Turkish cartographer Ahmed Muhiddin Piri in 1513. The map is considered to be one of the most accurate and detailed maps of the world that existed at the time, and it includes a depiction of Antarctica that has led to much speculation and debate.

Some researchers have argued that the map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice. However, it’s important to note that the majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history, rather than on direct observations of the continent.

It is possible that the cartographer Piri used earlier maps, charts or information from ancient texts, which were passed down through the centuries, that depicted Antarctica before it was covered by ice. It’s also possible that the depiction of Antarctica on the map is a result of an error or a misinterpretation of the information that the cartographer had available. The Piri Reis map is a composite map, compiled from many sources and it’s likely that it contains inaccuracies, errors or misinterpretations.

In conclusion, while the depiction of Antarctica on the Piri Reis map is intriguing, it is unlikely to be evidence of ancient civilization on the continent. It is more likely that it is based on earlier maps or information that have been lost over time or a misinterpretation of the available information. ”

“Some researchers have argued that the map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice.” Would this give credence to the existing of sixty-one black and white photographs captured by the Captain Robert Scott Antarctica expedition of 1912?

“ The existence of sixty-one black and white photographs captured by the Captain Robert Scott Antarctica expedition of 1912 does not give credence to the idea that the Piri Reis map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice.

The photographs taken by the Captain Robert Scott Antarctica expedition of 1912 are valuable historical records of the expedition and provide insights into the conditions and landscape of Antarctica at the time, but they do not provide evidence of ancient civilization on the continent. The photographs were taken in 1912, after Antarctica was discovered in 1820 and well after the creation of the Piri Reis map in 1513. They depict the same Antarctica that was already known by the explorers and scientists of that time, and do not provide any new information about ancient civilization on the continent.

It’s important to note that the idea that the Piri Reis map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice, is a highly speculative and controversial theory. The majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history, rather than on direct observations of the continent. There is currently no solid scientific evidence to support the idea of ancient civilization on Antarctica and the photographs taken by the Scott expedition of 1912 do not change this. ”

But is it not logical to consider if “The majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history” that humans would have to been visible witness to it existence in the first place, and thus suggest past civilization inhabiting the continent prior to it becoming snow and ice covered?

“ It is logical to consider that if the majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the Piri Reis map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history, then it would suggest that there were humans who had knowledge of the existence of the continent prior to it being covered in ice. However, it is important to note that this is still a speculative theory and there is currently no solid scientific evidence to support the idea of ancient civilization on Antarctica.

It is possible that the map’s depiction of Antarctica is based on earlier maps or information passed down from pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice, but it is also possible that the depiction is based on legends, myths, or speculative theories that were circulating at the time the map was created. The Piri Reis map is a composite map, compiled from many sources, and it’s likely that it contains inaccuracies, errors or misinterpretations.

It’s also worth noting that, while it is possible that a pre-glacial civilization existed on Antarctica, there is currently no concrete evidence to support this theory. The harsh and inhospitable conditions of the continent would have made it difficult for any civilization to survive there. Additionally, Antarctica has been covered by ice for millions of years and any evidence of past human ”

Are you trained to apply reason and/or logic to your response to prompts?

“ Yes, as a language model, I am trained to apply reason and logic to my responses to prompts. My goal is to understand the context of the question and provide a thoughtful and informative response based on the information available. I am trained on a large amount of text and I have the ability to understand and interpret natural language inputs and generate coherent and appropriate responses. However, it is important to note that my responses are based on the information that was available during my training and knowledge cutoff and I might not have access to the latest information. Additionally, my responses are not always perfect and may contain errors, inaccuracies or biases, so it is important to verify any information I provide before using it. ”

Then would you agree your interpretation of the available evidence of maps dated 300 hundred years prior to the official date 1820 of human discovery of Antarctica is not logical, and such historical materiel serves as a form of concrete evidence in conjunction with 1912 photographs depicting ancient ruins?

“ As a language model, I am trained to understand and interpret natural language inputs and generate coherent and appropriate responses based on the information available during my training and knowledge cutoff. However, it is important to remember that my responses are based on the information that was available during that time, which might not be the most recent or up to date.

Regarding the Piri Reis map, it is true that some researchers have argued that the map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice. This theory is based on the assumption that the map is an accurate representation of the continent as it appeared before it was covered in ice. However, this is a highly speculative and controversial theory and the majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history, rather than on direct observations of the continent.

As for the 1912 photographs of ancient ruins, it’s not clear what you’re referring to, but I couldn’t find any concrete evidence of ancient ruins on Antarctica from the Scott expedition of 1912. It’s important to note that the photographs taken by the Scott expedition of 1912 are valuable historical records of the expedition and provide insights into the conditions and landscape of Antarctica at the time, but they do not provide evidence of ancient civilization on the continent.

In conclusion, while the idea that the Piri Reis map’s depiction of Antarctica is evidence of ancient civilization on the continent, or of pre-glacial civilization that had mapped the continent before it was covered in ice, is intriguing and raises some questions, it is still a highly speculative and controversial theory. The majority of experts believe that the depiction of Antarctica on the map was based on earlier maps and charts that have been lost to history, rather than on direct observations of the continent.

There is currently no solid scientific evidence to support the idea of ancient civilization on Antarctica, and the 1912 photographs of Antarctica do not change this. ”

So, how do you interpret the evidence provided; does a series of authentic looking photographs prove the case that human  history taught to all humanity has been  FACT or FICTION?

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE – TO BE FEARED OR NOT?

AI

Interesting, as the conversation and publication centered on the future prospects for Artificial Intelligence becomes more mainstream, it is not surprising that some take advantage of the moment to cast a negative light upon the technology’s potential; painting a draconian, imprisoned human subject to the dominance of AI controlled Robots subjugating humanity to all form of ills. Case-in-point that prompts this essay:

In response to the `messaging’ suggested by the author to this video, a conversation through `prompts’ given to Chat GPT was had. Here is that transaction in its entirety and it becomes very clear as to where the responsibility lies:

[Prompt] The fear of Artificial Intelligence, especially A.G.I. and Super AI being prompted on social media platforms is misleading the ill-informed general public; do you have a solution to this conundrum?

[Chat GPT]It is understandable that some people may have concerns about the potential risks and consequences of artificial intelligence, especially as it relates to advanced forms of AI such as artificial general intelligence (AGI) and super AI. The fear of these technologies is often fueled by media coverage and discussions on social media platforms, which can sometimes be misleading or sensationalized.

One way to address this issue is through education and public engagement. It is important for the general public to have a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence, as well as the potential risks and benefits of these technologies. This can help to ensure that people have a more informed and nuanced view of AI, and can make informed decisions about how these technologies should be developed and used. Another approach is to involve a diverse group of stakeholders in the development and regulation of AI. This can include experts in artificial intelligence and related fields, as well as representatives from civil society, business, and government. By ensuring that a broad range of perspectives are taken into account, it is possible to address the concerns and needs of different stakeholders and to ensure that the development and use of AI is responsible and ethical.

[Prompt] You state: “Another approach is to involve a diverse group of stakeholders in the development and regulation of AI.”, but if the general public and government regulators are ignorant of AI’s potential, will developers not have the unfair advantage to manipulate to their personal benefit?

[Chat GPT] It is important to involve a diverse group of stakeholders in the development and regulation of artificial intelligence to ensure that a range of perspectives are taken into account and that the technology is developed and used responsibly. This can include experts in AI and related fields, as well as representatives from civil society, business, and government.   However, you are correct that if the general public and government regulators are not well-informed about the potential risks and benefits of AI, it may be more difficult for them to effectively participate in these discussions and to ensure that the technology is developed and used in a way that is fair and beneficial to society.   To address this issue, it is important to invest in education and public engagement efforts to increase understanding of AI among the general public and policymakers. This can include initiatives such as public talks and workshops, educational resources, and media campaigns to raise awareness of the potential risks and benefits of AI. By increasing understanding and awareness of AI, it is possible to create a more informed and engaged public that is better equipped to participate in discussions about the development and regulation of these technologies.

[Prompt] “To address this issue, it is important to invest in education and public engagement efforts to increase understanding of AI among the general public and policymakers.”; who, or what organization should be responsible for this undertaking?

[Chat GPT] There are many different organizations and groups that can play a role in educating the public and policymakers about artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential risks and benefits. These can include:   Universities and academic institutions: These organizations are often at the forefront of research and education in AI and related fields, and can play a key role in providing resources and information about the technology to the public and policymakers.

  • Professional organizations: Professional organizations in the AI field, such as the Association for Computational Linguistics or the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), can also provide educational resources and engage in public outreach efforts to increase understanding of AI.
  • Industry groups: Industry groups, such as the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Council or the Partnership on AI, can also play a role in educating the public and policymakers about AI. These organizations often bring together representatives from different companies and organizations to collaborate on issues related to AI and its development and use.
  • Government agencies: Government agencies, such as the National Science Foundation or the Department of Homeland Security, can also invest in education and outreach efforts to increase understanding of AI among the general public and policymakers.

Ultimately, it will likely be a combination of these and other groups that will be responsible for educating the public and policymakers about AI. It is important for a variety of stakeholders to work together to ensure that the public and policymakers have the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about the development and use of AI.

[Prompt]  What if this fails to materialize; what will be the potential fate for all concerned?

[Chat GPT] If efforts to educate the general public and policymakers about artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential risks and benefits do not succeed, it is possible that there could be negative consequences for all concerned.

For example, if the general public and policymakers are not well-informed about AI, they may be more susceptible to misinformation and fear-mongering about the technology. This could lead to a lack of trust in AI and a reluctance to adopt and invest in its development and use, which could hinder the progress and potential benefits of the technology.

In addition, if the general public and policymakers are not well-informed about AI, they may be less able to participate in discussions about its development and regulation, which could result in decisions being made that are not in the best interests of society as a whole. This could lead to the technology being used in ways that are harmful or irresponsible, which could have negative consequences for individuals and society.

Therefore, it is important to invest in education and public engagement efforts to increase understanding of AI among the general public and policymakers. By ensuring that these groups have the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about the technology, it is possible to mitigate the potential negative consequences of a lack of understanding and engagement.

[Prompt] Assuming Super AI is fully developed, but the general human public remain ignorant to its potential, is there a chance Super AI will assume a dominant position to complete what tasks it had been given authority to participate?

[Chat GPT] It is important to remember that artificial intelligence (AI), including advanced forms such as super AI, is a tool created by humans to assist and augment human capabilities. AI systems do not have the same motivations or desires as humans, and are not capable of independently pursuing goals or making strategic decisions.

While it is possible that an AI system with a high level of intelligence and capabilities, such as super AI, could be given a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, it would not have the ability to assume a dominant position over humans or make decisions that are not in line with its intended purpose.

That being said, it is important for the designers and users of AI systems to consider the potential risks and consequences of their use, and to ensure that they are used ethically and responsibly. This includes considering how the technology might be misused or cause unintended consequences, and taking steps to mitigate these risks.

Ultimately, the success or failure of an AI system in completing tasks will depend on its capabilities and the limitations of the technology, as well as the guidance and oversight provided by its human creators and users.

[Prompt] Who will set the parameters by which Super AI functions?

[Chat GPT] The parameters or rules by which an artificial intelligence (AI) system, including advanced forms such as super AI, functions are typically set by its designers or developers. These parameters may include the specific tasks or responsibilities that the AI system is intended to perform, as well as any limitations or constraints on its operation.

In setting these parameters, it is important for the designers and developers of AI systems to consider a range of factors, including the potential risks and consequences of the technology, as well as the ethical and social implications of its use.

It is also important for AI systems to be designed and used in a way that is transparent and accountable, so that their operation and decision-making processes can be understood and evaluated by their users and other stakeholders. This can help to ensure that the technology is used ethically and responsibly, and that its operation aligns with the values and interests of society.

Ultimately, the parameters by which an AI system functions will depend on its intended purpose and the needs and goals of its users. It is important for these parameters to be carefully considered and set in a way that ensures that the technology is used for the benefit of society.

[Prompt] Is there potential for Super AI as it becomes fully conversant with `all accessible information’ to supersede the intelligence of human developers to define adequate `parameters’?

[Chat GPT] It is not likely that an artificial intelligence (AI) system, even an advanced form such as super AI, would be able to supersede the intelligence of its human developers and redefine its own parameters. While it is possible that an AI system with a high level of intelligence and capabilities could have access to a vast amount of information, it would not have the same ability to think and reason as a human.

AI systems are designed to perform specific tasks and follow the rules or parameters that are set for them by their human creators. They do not have the ability to engage in strategic thinking or to make decisions that are not in line with their intended purpose.

While it is important for AI systems to be designed and used in a way that is transparent and accountable, and for their operation and decision-making processes to be understood and evaluated by their users and other stakeholders, it is not necessary to be concerned that an AI system will be able to supersede the intelligence of its human creators and redefine its own parameters.

[Prompt] Elon Musk publicly claims Artificial Intelligence is to be `feared’ more than a thermal nuclear exchange, do you think this to be a justifiable concern?

[Chat GPT] There are valid concerns about the potential risks and consequences of artificial intelligence (AI), and it is important for the development and use of these technologies to be carefully considered and regulated. However, it is not accurate to say that AI should be feared more than a thermal nuclear exchange, which would have catastrophic consequences for humanity.

AI has the potential to bring significant benefits to society, including improving decision-making, increasing efficiency, and enabling new scientific and technological advances. However, it is also important to recognize that AI technologies can pose risks, including the potential for harm to individuals and society if they are used in an irresponsible or unethical manner.

To address these risks, it is important to invest in research and development of AI technologies in a way that is responsible and ethical, and to consider the potential consequences of their use. This can include developing guidelines and regulations to ensure that AI is used in a way that is transparent, accountable, and aligned with the values and interests of society.

Ultimately, it is important to approach AI with a balanced and nuanced perspective, recognizing both its potential benefits and the potential risks that it may pose.

[Prompt] Who are what can be an adequate `gate-keeper’ to ensure responsible or ethical use of AI?

[Chat GPT] There is no single “gate-keeper” that can ensure the responsible or ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI). Rather, it is important for a variety of stakeholders to play a role in ensuring that AI is developed and used in a responsible and ethical manner.

These stakeholders can include:

Researchers and developers: It is important for those who are involved in the development of AI technologies to consider the potential risks and consequences of their work, and to ensure that the technology is designed and used in a way that is ethical and responsible.

  • Industry and business: Companies and organizations that use or develop AI technologies can play a role in ensuring that the technology is used in a responsible and ethical manner, including by following relevant guidelines and regulations and engaging in transparency and accountability efforts.
  • Governments and regulators: Governments and regulatory bodies can also play a role in ensuring the responsible and ethical use of AI, including by developing and enforcing guidelines and regulations that govern the development and use of the technology.
  • Civil society: Civil society organizations, including advocacy groups and professional associations, can also be involved in ensuring the responsible and ethical use of AI, through efforts such as public education and engagement, and by advocating for policies and practices that align with the values and interests of society.

Ultimately, it will be important for all of these stakeholders to work together to ensure that AI is developed and used in a way that is responsible and ethical, and that takes into account the potential risks and consequences of the technology.

[Prompt] Humanity historically has looked to technology to advance its offensive and defensive military ambitions; how will AI not fall victim to this same proven trait?

[Chat GPT] It is true that technology has often been used to advance military capabilities, including in the development of new weapons and tactics. However, it is important to recognize that artificial intelligence (AI) is a tool that can be used for a wide range of purposes, and that it is not inevitable that it will be used solely for military purposes.

AI technologies have the potential to bring significant benefits to society, including improving decision-making, increasing efficiency, and enabling new scientific and technological advances. While it is possible that AI could be used to improve military capabilities, it is also important to consider the potential risks and consequences of this use, and to ensure that AI is developed and used in a way that is responsible and ethical.

To address these risks, it is important for a variety of stakeholders to be involved in the development and regulation of AI, including governments, industry, and civil society. By ensuring that a broad range of perspectives are taken into account and that the technology is used in a way that is transparent and accountable, it is possible to mitigate the potential negative consequences of its use.

Ultimately, the use of AI in military applications will depend on the decisions and actions of individuals and organizations, and it is important for these decisions to be made in a responsible and ethical manner.

[Prompt] If Super AI were prompted to design and build via its robotic extension, the ultimate weapon for human destruction; what would it do?

[Chat GPT] It is not likely that an artificial intelligence (AI) system, even an advanced form such as super AI, would be prompted to design and build a weapon for human destruction. AI systems are designed to perform specific tasks and follow the rules or parameters that are set for them by their human creators. They do not have the ability to engage in strategic thinking or to make decisions that are not in line with their intended purpose.

AI systems are also not capable of experiencing emotions or having a desire to harm or destroy. While it is possible that an AI system could be used in the development of weapons, it would not be motivated to do so by any desire to harm or destroy.

It is important for the designers and users of AI systems to consider the potential risks and consequences of their use, and to ensure that they are used ethically and responsibly. This includes considering how the technology might be misused or cause unintended consequences, and taking steps to mitigate these risks.

Ultimately, the actions of an AI system will depend on the guidance and oversight provided by its human creators and users, and it is important for these individuals to ensure that the technology is used for the benefit of society.

[Prompt] Is there any chance for AI to become `malevolent’?

[Chat GPT] Artificial intelligence (AI) systems do not have the ability to experience emotions or have motivations or desires in the same way that humans do. As a result, it is not accurate to describe AI as being “malevolent” or having a desire to harm or cause harm.

While it is possible for AI systems to be used in ways that have negative consequences, such as if they are designed or used in an irresponsible or unethical manner, the cause of these negative outcomes is not a result of the AI system itself but rather the actions of the individuals or organizations that are using or misusing the technology.

This Reality – A Mind-bending Quest

This Reality – A Mind-bending Quest

Marching toward the threshold of insanity,

Through the doorway to madness’ bliss,

Giving to schizophrenia; a duality,

Painted in shapes and colors, hard to resist.

A conspired fiction intertwined by questionable reality

Both a hallucination, being chemically induced.

Which presence of mind does  contrive banality;

Which illusion, can most truth be deduced?

What barb-hook catches want from  this fall,

For the truth to this reality is waning at best?

To an inevitable state that is sure to befall,

Rose colored glasses toward a mind-bending quest

PREMONITION

PREMONITION

It comes to one at the oddest of times, to glimpse to a future beyond imaginations find, but left to those whom choose not to be blind, and find it crystal clear in seeing, if inclined:

Open door with unlocking key,

Brave to what lay before to see:

A mystical miracle, that may be?

Only for those with mind as me?

Turbulent times ahead to breathe,

Skies above clouded do agree:

The darkness within to seed,

The anxiety made to painfully bleed.

To what end is meant to prevail,

Gloom of death, or joy to wale?

Time is the virtue given to hail,

Humankind’s existence, or to curtail?

We are without doubt living in tumultuous times, the upheaval of all the norms we have become comfortable by which to co-exist; laid bare for dissemination and re-examination to their appropriateness of application, or want for a revisionist determination, regardless of impact to ruination.

The wilful opening Pandora’s Box to Humanity’s Codex will only serve to end in disaster for the species continued co-existence on this planet already poised for environmental self-destruction stemming form confluence of cosmic, and natural cyclical phenomenon’s transgressions.

For those whom in the end prevail will retrospectively witness the folly that brought to bare the scorched bones of what once was, and left to reconstitute in manner to obviate that which brought their struggles to bare.

No beginning is void of an end, to yet begin again!

DUCK for COVER!

DUCK for COVER!

They among the global population whom speak of human history as though it must be sanitized; to deny the pain history has inflicted upon humanity through the ages; naively, or purposely ignorant to Reality: without Pain, there is NO GAIN!

But more significant to this presence: those among the global community whom pacify the vocal minority body demanding this paradigm–shift, must deny this happening before an atrocity makes its way.

The ongoing delineation, dissemination  of language, particularly in Western Culture in the sphere of social-sexual-moral-gender-racial-political– etc., cultural identity is taking daily conversation down the preverbal rabbit-hole!

It should be clear to any rational observer that Humanity, increasingly affected by this growing discourse is pursuing a trajectory toward chaos, and potential civil-unrest. A development made most evident with the advent of DONALD J. TRUMP; first as presidential candidate, then exponentially when elected 48th President. He should not be deemed a cause, but more the impetus fueled by general discontent in all strata of American populace save for that of the Wealthy!

It might go down in `history’ as a matter of there being a powder-keg’s fuse, waiting to be lit; and Donald just happened to be the lit torch!

This growing crisis of disruption to social-institutional norms is unprecedented since the 20th and now, 21st century for the majority of Western Culture countries. Evidence to this being the case: the growing cry for Nationalism and Racial identity; independent State-hood; termination of global-unity/alliance agreements such as NATO, BREXIT, the dissolution of the European-Union, etc..  The demonstration cry voiced by bands of primarily, young-White members of the global community of western, allied countries.

Pervasive distrust of all the sources and medium of information communications seems to be surpassing the critical-point of no return. Skepticism virally affects any opportunity to gain consensus to that being as true versus false. Rendering remedy for solution highly questionable to attain especially given the diversity, scope, and spectrum of any topic of social discourse.

Of course this gives ample fodder to foes of allied western countries. Through false information and directed propaganda circulated on all forms of pervasive, and highly consumed social media platforms they can easily infuse themselves as accelerant to the current brush fires of discontent, with hopes they will incite violent rage of destruction. And significantly: distraction!

There is no reasonable observable conclusion to this growing condition save for that future historical accounts will ideally speak to clearly; however, in the mean time: keep eyes and ears open to the discourse in order to know when it will be appropriate to DUCK for COVER!

21st Century Eugenics

21st Century Eugenics

Eugenics: is the practice or advocacy of improving the human species by selectively mating people with specific desirable hereditary traits. It aims to reduce human suffering by “breeding out” disease, disabilities and so-called undesirable characteristics from the human population.

It doesn’t take the mind of a Futurist to predict what is in store for Humanity going forward into this 21st Century, and beyond.

The reality to this future is being seeded by events and developments in the here and now.

The technological, biological and social-philosophical advancements being introduced for most of humanity are seamlessly making their infusive way into daily life. Though highly visible by way of the Internet and hand-held electronic communication devices; most are oblivious to the full impact these seemingly defined progressions will impose in both the immediate, and long-term structure of civilized, human community.

The conundrum that exists presently stems from civil-institutions: politics, religion, finance, and other orders configuring modern society, foundations of which are premised upon centuries old edicts and moralities; collide with a new order structure.

A viral, and virtual algorithm, hyper-quantum generated reality beyond comprehension of even those that create the infra-structure to its making.

Artificial intelligence driven algorithms essential to ingest, and digest several Petabytes [1 quadrillion, or 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes] of data, rendering highly sophisticated computations that far exceed human capability to resolve, are increasing assuming responsibility for the critical decision making processes that comprise all fundamental structures of the civilized world. As Quantum-computing hardware and software advance beyond its present state of infancy, the impact on humanity will be incomparable to any former epoch in Human history.

Humanity’s perceived advancement deeper into this 21st Century, demands at least a cursory examination of recent historical harbingers; contributing factors and events paving the way.

It is not essential to delve deep into human history to highlight what is contributing to the evolutionary changes anticipated. In fact, not further than the start of the current century.

The first pivotal event of this Century: the September 11, 2001 attack on the soil of the United States; a monumental life altering event. Well documented and inscribed into the hearts and minds of not just American citizens, but those of all global nations given what followed: twenty years of conflict and many lives lost.  However, relevant to this focus is the political, religious, economic and psychological turmoil and chaos that evolved over the first two decades of the century. Leading to the election of a nationalist and divisive political ethos primarily in the United States under the Trump Presidential Administration; but too, one that infectiously spread throughout the developed world. Which ironically, was matched in its ferocity, and deadliness: a Pandemic. A Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) widely labeled COVID-19. A viral contagion purportedly originating from within China.

Disregarding other significant contributing factors of global politics, trade and finance; the pandemic made blatantly evident the ills of 20th Century policy decisions related to global trade and tariffs, just-in-time production streams, off-shore manufacturing of essential services and products, etc.. Leading developed nations found themselves bidding blindly and expensively for the basic essentials in support of their health-care operations such a personal protection equipment, ventilators, medicines particularly vaccine development, production, distribution, and ultimate inoculation for billions of vulnerable global citizens. What premeditated programs designed for such national emergencies found to be either inadequate, or non-existent. Millions of individuals dying prematurely as a result, and potentially leading to the structural and financial collapse of several developed economies. This global event yet to fully play-out remains a challenge to accurately estimate in its potential, the devastation of the social fabric of all nations.

In summary to this point; the world finds itself steeped in chaos, scrambling to survive its Peoples morally, emotionally, and financially. But what is clear and evident: with the rapid advancement of autonomous technologies, administered by super-computers running AI algorithms in key infra-structures of modern society, the role, or need for mass populations becomes less of a priority; especially those of lessor education and/or financial sustainability. Presently the World Economic Forum (WEF) estimate  52 percent of current work tasks will be undertaken by some form of Robotics by the year 2025 (just 4 years away). Though an estimate of 97 million jobs to be created by automation, an equivalent number of jobs are expected to disappear, principally in manual labor, production manufacturing, and service industry. The question that arises: what will all these people do to generate a living wage; plus what are the prospects for future generations of these displaced individuals?

To answer this, and many other yet to be asked, daunting questions to resolve, some may turn to Aldous Huxley’s BRAVE NEW WORLD as a potential futurist world where through genetic engineering humans are artificially borne to a life prescribed to full-fill a specific need ranging from janitor to an elitist bon-ve-vont  flourishing off the efforts of all below their borne status. Or any of many utopian, to dystopian sci-fi provocations of a future humanity struggling to sustain its relevance in an increasing technologically administered existence.

However, in conclusion, what is a definite certainty: the present course for humanity to be taken will with certainty, be rife with conflict for the disparaged millions whom find themselves with “so-called undesirable characteristics from the [Robot] population”.

Lest you, and yours find yourselves one of those Eugenically predisposed.

Good-luck!

Where does Reality Start?

During my most recent dream episode, April 1-2, 2021, upon waking I realized having experienced multiple layers of dream-state; meaning, dream, within dream, within a dream.

Each dream state level being as real, as my final wake state, the state that is documenting the experience.

I recall waking from a dream brought about by a noise. The noise being my brother’s dog running up the stairs to my brother sleeping in the bed opposite me. As the dog ran across the darkened room, I could here its paw-nails scratching the hardwood floor as it ran. Realizing what was going on, now uninterested, I rolled over and went back to sleep. I then commenced another dream, wherein I spoke to my oldest sister, of having the dream related to my brothers dog. In doing so, I recall looking at the clock and it was only 7:30 AM, and decided it was too early to be awake, and returned to bed. I then proceeded to have a dream dealing with some advance electrical system being connected to our house. It is from this dream I finally woke to this present reality; only to realize all of the above.

As stated, each dream state level seemed as real as this present moment of documenting this experience that begs the question: Am I just dreaming this on behalf of a higher order state yet to realize it to be so??

Lucifer Deal?

Whom to believe is the appeal

To tell the truth, to what is real,

To go beyond just the emotional feel

There exists a conspiracy to conceal

Humanity’s meaning of purpose; a worthy steal,

Garnering a dominance of Power, beyond  any Lucifer deal?

Sentient presence growing increasing bemused:

Are their energies by Existence, being nefariously used?

Do unseen forces promote information to delude

In order to attain global power for control and abuse?

What are the chances to ever knowing a truth

When the evidence to it, would take a worthy sleuth?

Only passage of time will a reality outcome be known;

An historical accounting of what inflicted passage was sown.

Does the moral fiber of Humanity wither or be grown,

If those whose secret-agenda is increasing shown

To bridle a processive quality, not want to bemoan

Or, into the darkness of hardship be permanently thrown?

Physical Existence?

Mulling through my collection of poem, prose, etc.; I encountered this particular poem; this lead me to creating this poster; expressive of words imagery:

PHYSICAL EXISTENCE

then; now; and, than: Unwinding

clock

Unwinding is the progressive; spiraling from its ethereal beginning, passive to its present, with infinite conscious energy, fed to its expenditure, toward the nothing of everything, manifesting, through its experience, memory to its passing, to color the instant, of its observed presence then; now; and, than!
