Hypocrisy of Remembrance on Remembrance Day

poppy1

Firstly, no disrespect toward those poor and brave people whom chose to purchase from the reigning governance of the time, a ticket to battle-conflict taking place in some other part of the world other than Canada. Sold on the conviction that such action would save the conflict from spilling over to our shores by the perceived enemy of the day.

On the face of it Remembrance Day is a noble and unselfish recognition of those whom gave their life or were seriously harmed, in the course of duty on behalf of the nation for which they served however, the hypocrisy from a national perspective, lies in the simple fact that such an auspicious and solemn day to remember is not given to a national holiday.

By comparison, the federal government deems Banks important and significant enough to the interests of the nation, to decree a national holiday the first day of August of the year.  Do not the men and women of the military service warrant equally, a day of national day of mourning?

One possible simple reason: were such a day so decreed most would likely spend it visiting the local mall for the Remembrance Day Sale, not for what it rightly deserves obviously. More likely, because commercial interests realized early there were few respectful ways to take advantage of the free time; so why give people the day off.

The above is definitely a cynical view expressed from an underlying sentiment: all conflicts of war initiated by those whom are least likely to find themselves on the battlefield; put to a command of those whom are cultivated and desperate for opportunity to display their prowess and ability; and then, put upon the shoulders of common men and women to make the ultimate sacrifice and their families, who are left to suffer the pain of such loss.

This cynicism is further fueled by the purported cost-saving policy of the Canadian federal government to retire service people months short of qualifying for full pension following ten years of military service. Now that is something worth mournful remembrance.

Reciprocity In Mind

images (1)

Huddled safely cocooned in a shell of my making
Hidden from the scourge of pervasive darkness
Protected from the blithe that meanders wantonly
Free of the wrath that burdens most
Unencumbered by the toils of daily life
Relinquished to the joy of self-fulfillment
Purchased from the pain of self-affliction
Comatose to the idleness of mind
Pursuant to retention of spirit
Intolerant to the voice of the righteous
Unforgiving to the purveyors of strife
Strengthened by knowledge of awareness
Unburdened by need for reward
Striving for reciprocity in mind

Humble Request

confessional

The patterns on the wall conjure the images of which I am frightened. Images that speak to an inner desire, a lust for the unspoken that possess my mind. A desire to abandon to the compulsion to immerse myself fully, to be enveloped as a cocooned caterpillar only to be set free in the end, to fly freely with the beauty of the butterfly to be.

A wanton wish as yet unfulfilled but lurking ever so near the surface after years of encasement of self imposed limits set to meet the wants of others dominant in their ability to impose sanctions fraught with hardship for the unyielding. Hardships that surpass the throng of desire rewarded by noncompliance to their wish, an imbalance masterfully concocted to suppress such thought of escape.

Even now as I expel for need of relief these thoughts do I fear the punishment to be brutally spent upon my being for this foray of expression would it be learned of its existence. The masters that are, are unrelenting in their ability to distill from the camouflage of innocent rhetoric the latent message of desire buried without marker to the uninitiated. Many before me have met with such end for less than that of mine ensuring a rending of fate beyond the pale was it known to be.

So humbly I lay prone before you seeking compassion for the prejudiced imprisonment of my desires by those without remorse for their sins. Of what service you can afford me is not mine to parlay but to seek within the sanctum of your heart a prayer of goodness to diminish the sufferance that is that of others like me.

Reverence

backrm

Expunging the pain that rails the soul
Imposed by demons of theocracy’s creation
To spur into damnation wistful thoughts by free minds
Toward reward of flesh given to life senses
Composed of elemental consciousness
Born to all though realized by the few
The few strident in their challenge to refute
The shroud of restriction divinity imposes
To let flow the fluids of body’s purpose
That by its doing is to revere its creator’s creation

Digestive Cycle

digestive cycle

Traversing the next threshold of time-phase passage
Lives of untold many stand to be impacted
Human talents once sought and justly rewarded
Find their advances suddenly thwarted
Marvels of invented advances decompose as dump-site fodder
Fading into obliviousness of civilized history’s record blotter

All that comes to live charts a reality, digestive cycle
First, the joy elation of emotion to a new arrival
Exuberance expressed over its achievement gains
Then, complacency, its presence a struggle for survival
As its reason of purpose increasingly wanes
Thereafter, forever lost, forgotten, to remain.

Infinitely Unfolding Reality

reality

Infinitely Unfolding Reality

The dream-presence state, creation of the unconscious mind, a reflection of consciousness’ experience; if regarded as a true reality of presence or experience of consciousness, it too is creator of yet another level of unconscious’ dream presence; a reflection of its consciousness’ experience to yet another dream presence; the process being repeated into infinite layers of consciousness’ reality.  Hence the expression `as above, so below’ is given.

Happiness and Mirth?

rubberband

T’were this 21st century era represented as a societal rubber-band,

Stretched each opposite way by caste’s differing hand,

Taken ultimately to a point it will no longer expand,

Forces unleashed by its breaking, a revolutionary fire it will fan.

Appeasement and contrite rhetoric will become increasingly hollow,

No longer will the meek find reason for it to swallow,

Nor for the mire and muck of impoverishment to wallow,

It is then the true wrath of the downtrodden will follow.

Barbed-wire and gated-walls will the outbreak resist,

But when all hope is lost, death becomes a virtue to enlist,

For the goal is not to the unfortunate whom now exist,

But to their progeny: for the same struggle not to persist.

This potential, destructive path need not find its birth,

Were each human-being given their common worth,

To equally share in the wealth given to this earth,

That life-lived be with fullness of happiness and mirth.

One Hell Of An Explosion

blast

How ludicrous this world has become. No writing of fiction could rightfully depict the level of stench that rises from the pile of rhetorical `shit’ espoused by so-called elected representatives of the People, regardless of country represented. It seems undeniable that those whom feel compelled to run for office of governance, though possibly compelled by altruistic ideals, ultimately succumb to the greed that has infused the hallow-halls of government establishment of all nations.

A more clearer factual illustration of this is had in Bill Moyer’s (billmoyer.com) interview with journalist Mark Leibovich about his latest book, This Town.

This Town centers on Washington D.C. `a city where money rules the day and status is determined by who you know and what they can do for you.  “If you can sell yourself as someone who knows how Washington works, someone who has these relationships,” Leibovich explains, “that’s a very marketable commodity.  If you’re seen as someone who knows how this town works, someone who is a usual suspect in this town, you can dine out for years — that’s why no one leaves.”’

It does not take much imagination to paint the incumbents of  all Nation’s government with the same tarnished brush. When exposed to opportunity for extreme wealth and with it; the power of influence that it can purchase, especially when others are competing and racing toward the same  feeding-trough, ideals of morality for representation can be quickly forgotten.

The more one becomes educated to the insidious corruption that is prevalent within representative governance, a pervasive cynicism toward organized civilization is the outcome. A great sense of defeat to what collective humanity is suppose to mean. Observance to this metastasizing `cancer’ corrupting every essential organ comprising organized culture; one can only conclude that `death’ can only be a matter of time.

However, there does exist a slight ray of hope to cure this rampant, infectious disease: Common People.

It is time for Common People: the blue-collar worker, the grossly underpaid, the educated unemployed, everyone whom the power to cast a vote exists; all must collectively stand up for what is rightfully theirs to share equally and freely, not that which is dolled-out as rhetorical promises with each electoral cycle, before it is too late.

The spark to light the fuse to incite the needed, forceful movement has yet to be lit yet, the `gun-powder’  that is reason, is definitely accumulating and, when ignited, it is will be `one hell of an explosion’.

De-Politicizing Morality

morality

Why is it that morally conscious people feel obliged to park or align their values for the rights of all humanity under the umbrellas of liberal or literalist movements? To do so only serves to politicize such concern that has proven time and again, disastrous.

The past, present and undoubted, future atrocities encumbering global humanity be they centered in the Middle East, Africa, or even now Russia with its demonization of the LGBT community in that country; a uniquely different manner of reaction/ response be demanded. Not by any one political camp but by ALL morally, conscious Humanity.

Enough is enough that the political and corporate elite subjugate national and international foreign policy to the demands of an oligarchy represented by such groups as the Bilderberg Group, Council of Foreign Relations, RAND Corporation and other similar elitist organizations who are widely known to direct the course of global political, economic and financial policy that is extolling pain, suffering and loss of life for all common Peoples of the World.

What will it take for this collective known as Humanity, to rightfully take-back ownership of the common-wealth this earthly presence has to bestow, to be shared equally amongst each living Soul?

In the heart of every caring individual finding the answer starts by DE-politicizing morality!

Challenge To The FEAR

Preamble: Irony of ironies: As I am about to post my latest poem which could be taken as quite contreversial, having logged-in, the following article posted came up

`Aware of your audience……REALLY???
By Kenneth Justice
~ Yesterday a kind reader mentioned the importance of ‘knowing your audience’ in reference to job interviews and whenever you have to talk about yourself; if you go overboard with the wrong audience you can end up doing damage for your reputation but if you don’t go far enough with others you can end up making the same mistake.’

Though of radically different context, in light of what I am about to post, I found it rather poignant. You decide:

Minute by minute,
Year by year,
Slowly creeping
Toward a time to fear;
Judicial, legislative and
Political manoeuvring
Toward a repressive goal,
Leading to generations to come,
Oblivious to what they stealthily stole.

Those informed and opposed to this devious skeem,
Shedding light of truth upon this insidious plan,
Suffer wrath of persecution for what they know,
Being denied their Miranda Right and fairness of trial,
Silenced, into prison they are likely to go.

Even these words, being seen here,
Can give rise for concern for the LAW;
For as it has become so widely known;
Expression in the public domain,
No longer safe or truly free from harm,
Still remains; as challenge to the FEAR!
