Stephen Harper, Prime Minister & Israel

flag

Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, recently accepted the invitation of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) where he was honored by its members and Prime Minister of Israel,  acknowledging Harper as a `real leader’ for his unyielding support for the State of Israel. To forever commemorate such support a bird sanctuary is to be named Stephen Harper [bird sanctuary]. (Ironically fitting since Harper, by his support of apartheid Israel `shitting’ on the lives of countless Palestinians, he, in due course, if not in name only, is to be shat upon by the birds occupying his sanctuary).

Canadians, by extension of their Prime Minister’s actions, effectively sanction and  support Israel’s treatment of Palestinians and the expansion of Jewish settlements that is effectively driving Palestinians from their homelands.

The question that need be asked is: Why?.

Why is the Canadian government supporting the obvious criminal and inhuman treatment of Palestinian Peoples?

What does Canada gain by doing so and why are we not at worst, non-committal to the situation rather than supporting once side of the politic?

When did Stephen Harper as Prime Minister of Canada, gain the unanimous consent of Canadians, not the minor majority of an election, to align Canada with apartheid state of Israel?

How can Canadians stand idle and let our proud nation, respected in past decades as a peace keeping nation, sanction and allow in our name, to let this go on?

Recent statements reported by the United Nations cites Assad of Syria for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the current civil conflict, to be serious enough to warrant recommending the International Court take up the issue. Why is this not the case in the matter of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians? What teflon coating of international acquiescence applies to the crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?

Harper’s alignment with the interests of Israel and his support by the members of the Jewish National Fund (JNF), effectively garners the acceptance by Canada and its citizens, of the crimes committed by the Israeli state. Did anyone bother to ask Canadians if they wanted their hands soaked in the blood of thousands of dead and the continued persecution of Palestinians? If so, they seemed to have missed asking me?

It raises the bigger issue of what `hold’ does Israel have over major western nations that they willingly, turn a blind-eye to the obvious criminality of the Israeli state? This tiny little swath of land that has the credulity of democratic and human rights respecting nations demands the answer to the question: WHY?

the real news

As a member to THE REAL NEWS NETWORK (trnn.com), it has become a viable source to true reporting of global events especially a relatively new, insightful series titled: REALITY ASSERTS ITSELF hosted by Paul Jay, lead journalist and founder of TRNN.

The title to this, the first installment, to be a series, is titled: Investigating the Saudi Government[‘]s 9/11 Connection and the Path to Disillusionment[retired United States Senator] Sen. Graham on Reality Asserts Itself pt 1 is centered on his recent book: Intelligence Matters – The CIA, FBI, SAUDI ARABIA and the Failure of America’s War on Terror provides a candid insight to the workings of US and Saudi relations and their implication on US foreign policy making as it pertains to the Middle East and by extension, contemporary geo-politics.

A Global Mess

A desperate public outcry grows louder every day
Fueling the rise of anarchy; the ultimate, destructive play.
A complicit mass media assisting in every possible way,
Global governance’s struggles to stifle its legitimate display.

Daily, those of public conscious expose the hidden truths;
Whistle blowers, journalist, anonymous hacking sleuths;
Willingly self-sacrificing all for the likes of me and you;
In hopes of our recognizing what we all need to do.

Global finance, economies, environment, jobs; are all on the rails;
Established, civilized institutions weakened, about to fail;
Growing inequality of chaste society, on a massive scale;
With no sign of redemption by those directing this ugly tale.

This 21st century, anticipated epoch for humanity’s flourish and gain
Has, since commencement, derived nothing but suffering and pain.
The power elite infuse a corrupt stronghold ensuring this way it remain;
Through elected, official governance; court sanctioned, corporate finances sustain.

When and how the tidal-wave of human, civil dissolution will manifest
Remains for a future’s history to articulate, in detail, at best.
Yet, what need for certain to rise from the ashes of the coming largess:
Is suppression of the powers responsible for creating this global mess!

Hypocrisy of Remembrance on Remembrance Day

poppy1

Firstly, no disrespect toward those poor and brave people whom chose to purchase from the reigning governance of the time, a ticket to battle-conflict taking place in some other part of the world other than Canada. Sold on the conviction that such action would save the conflict from spilling over to our shores by the perceived enemy of the day.

On the face of it Remembrance Day is a noble and unselfish recognition of those whom gave their life or were seriously harmed, in the course of duty on behalf of the nation for which they served however, the hypocrisy from a national perspective, lies in the simple fact that such an auspicious and solemn day to remember is not given to a national holiday.

By comparison, the federal government deems Banks important and significant enough to the interests of the nation, to decree a national holiday the first day of August of the year.  Do not the men and women of the military service warrant equally, a day of national day of mourning?

One possible simple reason: were such a day so decreed most would likely spend it visiting the local mall for the Remembrance Day Sale, not for what it rightly deserves obviously. More likely, because commercial interests realized early there were few respectful ways to take advantage of the free time; so why give people the day off.

The above is definitely a cynical view expressed from an underlying sentiment: all conflicts of war initiated by those whom are least likely to find themselves on the battlefield; put to a command of those whom are cultivated and desperate for opportunity to display their prowess and ability; and then, put upon the shoulders of common men and women to make the ultimate sacrifice and their families, who are left to suffer the pain of such loss.

This cynicism is further fueled by the purported cost-saving policy of the Canadian federal government to retire service people months short of qualifying for full pension following ten years of military service. Now that is something worth mournful remembrance.

Reciprocity In Mind

images (1)

Huddled safely cocooned in a shell of my making
Hidden from the scourge of pervasive darkness
Protected from the blithe that meanders wantonly
Free of the wrath that burdens most
Unencumbered by the toils of daily life
Relinquished to the joy of self-fulfillment
Purchased from the pain of self-affliction
Comatose to the idleness of mind
Pursuant to retention of spirit
Intolerant to the voice of the righteous
Unforgiving to the purveyors of strife
Strengthened by knowledge of awareness
Unburdened by need for reward
Striving for reciprocity in mind

Chaos’ Fire

Depravity of mind resides within us all
Fortunately, most are able to deny its invidious call
Though increasingly, this strength is beginning to wane
The question that arises: What cause is to blame?

Could the economic turmoil, increasingly prevalent on a global scale,
Be the ultimate cause as civil institutions have or, are at the brink to fail?
The ranks of the financially impoverished are growing day by day,
Robust political rhetoric is futile to alter the coming, destructive, tsunami wave.

Scholars and intellectuals broach solutions, a remedy course;
Five years hence the financial collapse; achieved is only conflicting discourse
Economist revel in knowing what effective monetary policy is to end the blithe
The only gain from their wisdom knowledge is unrelenting human strife.

Taking from the adage: The best way to fight a raging fire is with fire;
The chaos enveloping the world be remedied by inciting chaos, though not desired
May, in the end, be the only reasonable path to regain global, civil and economic order
Whether in or outside, any one nation’s sovereign border.

Absurdity Realized

blast

The more one delves into the psychopathy of this world
Increasingly it is realized; it is beyond any level of the absurd.
The few sane minds whom rally against the majority lot,
Rather then be heard, are more likely to be shot;
For the evil capacity to kill and maim that resides within us all,
Gains increasing prominence, drowning out calls for civility and calm.
The perfect storm to catastrophe is beginning to stir:
Global economic disparity inciting greater exposure of nationalism,
Unemployment and domestic hardship fuelling racial delineation,
Calls demanding closure of borders to limit foreign migration,
Civil unrest stirred by loss of hope for things to change,
The power elite accumulating enormous wealth at the expense of all;
With clear certainty there will arise a situation to make `IT‘ happen,
For the more one delves into the psychopathy of this world
Increasingly it is realized; it is beyond any level of the absurd.

Happiness and Mirth?

rubberband

T’were this 21st century era represented as a societal rubber-band,

Stretched each opposite way by caste’s differing hand,

Taken ultimately to a point it will no longer expand,

Forces unleashed by its breaking, a revolutionary fire it will fan.

Appeasement and contrite rhetoric will become increasingly hollow,

No longer will the meek find reason for it to swallow,

Nor for the mire and muck of impoverishment to wallow,

It is then the true wrath of the downtrodden will follow.

Barbed-wire and gated-walls will the outbreak resist,

But when all hope is lost, death becomes a virtue to enlist,

For the goal is not to the unfortunate whom now exist,

But to their progeny: for the same struggle not to persist.

This potential, destructive path need not find its birth,

Were each human-being given their common worth,

To equally share in the wealth given to this earth,

That life-lived be with fullness of happiness and mirth.

One Hell Of An Explosion

blast

How ludicrous this world has become. No writing of fiction could rightfully depict the level of stench that rises from the pile of rhetorical `shit’ espoused by so-called elected representatives of the People, regardless of country represented. It seems undeniable that those whom feel compelled to run for office of governance, though possibly compelled by altruistic ideals, ultimately succumb to the greed that has infused the hallow-halls of government establishment of all nations.

A more clearer factual illustration of this is had in Bill Moyer’s (billmoyer.com) interview with journalist Mark Leibovich about his latest book, This Town.

This Town centers on Washington D.C. `a city where money rules the day and status is determined by who you know and what they can do for you.  “If you can sell yourself as someone who knows how Washington works, someone who has these relationships,” Leibovich explains, “that’s a very marketable commodity.  If you’re seen as someone who knows how this town works, someone who is a usual suspect in this town, you can dine out for years — that’s why no one leaves.”’

It does not take much imagination to paint the incumbents of  all Nation’s government with the same tarnished brush. When exposed to opportunity for extreme wealth and with it; the power of influence that it can purchase, especially when others are competing and racing toward the same  feeding-trough, ideals of morality for representation can be quickly forgotten.

The more one becomes educated to the insidious corruption that is prevalent within representative governance, a pervasive cynicism toward organized civilization is the outcome. A great sense of defeat to what collective humanity is suppose to mean. Observance to this metastasizing `cancer’ corrupting every essential organ comprising organized culture; one can only conclude that `death’ can only be a matter of time.

However, there does exist a slight ray of hope to cure this rampant, infectious disease: Common People.

It is time for Common People: the blue-collar worker, the grossly underpaid, the educated unemployed, everyone whom the power to cast a vote exists; all must collectively stand up for what is rightfully theirs to share equally and freely, not that which is dolled-out as rhetorical promises with each electoral cycle, before it is too late.

The spark to light the fuse to incite the needed, forceful movement has yet to be lit yet, the `gun-powder’  that is reason, is definitely accumulating and, when ignited, it is will be `one hell of an explosion’.
