Beautiful flight of metallic bird;
Beasts to their unsuspecting prey;
Thunderous loud a cry heard;
Death, destruction, waste laid.
Fierceness to belie swiftness of grace;
Oppressor to innocence, faces unseen;
Deliverance of fire, wrath of human place;
Marvel of creation in defiance of a dream.
Lost to time is history of true purpose;
Distortion of naive inventor’s gleam;
Beautiful flight of metallic bird curses;
What future, humanity, might have been.
